The Pico PS Laser by Optocoheren is a therapy system that uses selective photothermolysis with melanin as the chromophore. Pico PS Laser has higher peak power and nanoseconds level pulse width.
Melanin in melanophore and cuticle formed cells have a short hot relaxation time. It could immediately make small selectively energy absorbed granules (tatto pigment and melanin) blast without injuring surrounded normal tissues. The blasted pigment granules will be excerted from body through circulatory system.
Traditional nanosecond lasers predominately rely on photothermal action, delivering heta to the pigment and surrounding tissue. Picolaser takes advantage of Pressure Wave technology to shater the target ink into tiny particles that are easily eliminated by the body.
